NRN ID

 

Non Resident Nepali (NRN) ID card is issued by this Embassy to the Foreign Citizen of Nepali Origin and Nepali Citizen residing abroad for more than two years except in the SAARC countries. ID card for Foreign Citizen of Nepali Origin may be issued valid for ten years and ID card for Nepali Citizen residing abroad may be issued valid for two years. Please refer to NRN Act and NRN Rules below for detailed information.

A. Following documents are required for Foreign National of Nepali Origin:

  1. Copy of Nepali Citizenship Certificate
  2. Copy of Nepali Passport
  3. Evidence of Nepali Citizenship renunciation (if renounced)
  4. Copy of Foreign Citizenship Certificate
  5. Copy of Foreign Passport
  6. Evidence of Business/Occupation/Employment (copy of business registration certificate, appointment letter etc.)
  7. Two recent  passport size and two auto size photographs of the applicant
  8. Postage paid self addressed envelope with tracking number (preferably signature on delivery post for safe delivery)
  9. Fee: AUD 572.00 (No EFTPOS facility in the Embassy, only applicable cash/money order is accepted)

B. Following documents are required for Nepali Citizens residing abroad:

  1. Copy of Nepali Citizenship Certificate
  2. Copy of Nepali Passport
  3. Evidence of Business/Occupation/Employment (copy of business registration certificate, appointment letter etc.)
  4. Two recent  passport size and two auto size photographs of the applicant
  5. Postage paid self addressed envelope with tracking number (preferably signature on delivery post for safe delivery)
  6. Fee: AUD 77.00 (No EFTPOS facility in the Embassy, only applicable cash/money order is accepted)
