Mr. Mahesh Raj Dahal

Mr Mahesh Raj Dahal was Ambassador of Nepal to Australia between November 2019 to June 2021. He was also accredited Non-Residential Ambassador to New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea. Mr Dahal was born in Parbatipur, Bharatpur Metropolitan City- 21, Chitwan on March 20, 1972. He is married to Mrs. Prabha Dahal, and has a son, Mr. Gaurab Dahal. Mr. Dahal graduated with Bachelor’s degree in Law and Education, and has completed Master’s of Arts in Political Science, Master’s of Arts in Sociology and Master’s of Public Administration. He has completed M. Phil. in Sociology from Tribhuvan University and is currently pursuing a PhD. in Sociology in Tribhuvan University. Mr. Dahal was Executive Chairman at Nepal Television (2015-2018) and was a board member of High-Level Commission for Information Technology (HLCIT) from 2006 to 2009. He was a board member of Institute of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2010 to 2012, and from 2013 to 2018 he worked as a lecturer at several private colleges in Nepal. He also has experience as a consultant in training management, leadership administration & social aspects, development and research for various government organisation, NGOs, INGOs, Aid Agencies, banking, corporate houses and community-based organisations. Mr Dahal is also actively involved in social work and has contributed to the community with involvement in international clubs. He worked as National President of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Nepal in 2011 and has served in various positions in international organizations such as Rotary Club International, Lions Club International, Red Cross International and Nepal Scouts. In his spare time, Mr. Dahal enjoys reading, traveling and writing.
